I seem to prefer "a moment before" sort of image.  The ink painting on the fusuma (partition screens) panels is supposed to go with the water metaphors in the text. (and painted by myself) Illustrating a scene from Chapter 4, When Sesshoumaru sneaked into Kureha's chamber. He wanted to find out about what happened during Kureha's private conversation with his father, Inu no Taishou. There was a hint of jealousy in the way he treated her, however impassive he might seem. (He is quite competitive with Inu no Taishou in my story, and Taishou also flirts with Kureha knowingly, to tease his son) Kureha observed Sessnoumaru quietly while yielding to his advances, and gave just enough information not to hurt her own political purpose as the Orochi Matriarch. Sesshoumaru=> Rumiko Takahashi's character Kureha=> foo-dog's character. This colored drawing is foo-dog's. Please Do Not Redistribute. |
