So I colored him
All I can say is, I did it at least once!
It's rough I know, but I say it's done and I'm moving on!
I prefer manga Sesshoumaru in general, (except some instances in anime) and in manga his Kimono accent is purple (when RT does color)
I 've always thought that Red was color for Inuyasha, not for Sesshoumaru.
To me deep bluish purple seems more fitting for him, more regal and cool... just more my taste.
Special attention (or rather, all my attention) was on his eyes. It is all about him brooding with those eyes.
Not wearing eyeshadow (?or that color on his eyelids) is intentional.
I tried it and I didn't like it. It takes away from his clear eyes.
In b&w manga you don't see eyeshadow.
I think I still like him better in my usual b&w. So I don't think I'll be doing another color piece anytime soon....

Hmm, I believe its not like "Inuyasha's color" or "Sesshoumaru's color"... red or bluish purple were always the "royal colors" as far as I know... so in my opinion, they just demonstrate the status of the wearer... and I believe that the whole Sesshoumaru's image (and also his father's and mother's) was designed in the way to show to others, that he is something "more"... probably even their white clothes suggest something... I can not believe it is a mere coincidence nor author's view... but that is just my opinion, of course... I do not argue moreover, I like both colors on him, I think I does not detract from his beauty
