Reisenki Sketch

This is just for my purpose, to have sketch and notes on my original character, Reisenki all together here. She is Sesshoumaru's mistress in the world of my narrative.
I'm sure it's not all that interesting to you all.
She was developed before I began "An Emergence" story.

Name: Reisenki
Type: Ancient spirit of sacred pond (located not far from Bokusenou )

She is not Youkai, nor Human. She is a personified spirit of sacred pond.
She is a very old type of supernatural being, a kind which existed before man or youkai.
They are often tied to specific locations in nature. Base form of Shinto (Japanese indigenous religion) had evolved from practices by humans to appease this type of being to avoid natural (and supernatural) disasters.
(I'm making this all up...though with some "educated free association" XD)
Now youkai and human has become much more prominent in the land, her kind is on the verge of extinction.
Her kind considers both youkai and human as "impure" creatures, and usually does not interfere with either of them.

How she met Sesshoumaru:
When younger Sesshoumaru wandered into her territory one day, she sought to kill him to absorb his power ( just like Naraku...), since her own power has been waning and made it difficult to protect her pond.
But she did not succeed and Sesshoumaru took interest in this recluse and proud creature. She looked down on him as being "impure" creature of poor heritage, and her attitude really raised his interest.

His mom was about to choose him a "night consort," (he was about that age) so in defiance he decided to pick one on his own.
Since then, he's been seeing her every once in a while, and she even sort of helped him when he got his left arm hacked off. (illustrated in Sesshoumaru and Reisenki 2 ) She also has met Rin once, when Rin accidentally (XD) walked into a scene of their meeting (illustrated in Sesshoumaru and Rin: A Visit )

Their mating does not produce offspring, (a perfect mistress. XD) because she does not have corporeal existence like youkai or human. By mating, She takes a potion of youkai energy from Sesshoumaru, and that would enable her to sustain her form and her power. (Naraku must be soooo jealous!)
And Sesshoumaru lets her for a moment of fun

She is lately getting tired of existing.....(she is of course, many many years older than Sesshoumaru.)

Reisenki does not have a soul. She is not a living creature like Sesshoumaru. She is an element of water, and even further from "emotion" than youkai.
She can't be killed per se, but can be undone of her form (then she cannot wield any of her magical power)
She'll just turn into mist when she decides not to exist. And "death" to her is basically to lose her form and become water permanently.
