This took me a while.
I've been wanting to do this family portrait for a long time, and so here it is.
This pic gave me a lot of computer problems toward the end, so I won't be making any changes.

Please don't ask about Inuyasha, because this is a portrait of Sesshoumaru side of the family, and my story only focuses on this particular family. It also takes place before Inuyasha's birth.

In the universe of my story, Shirakume (the name I gave to Sessmom) is the authority of this family.
She and Inupop cooperate for a common goal when necessary, but in general they are independent from each other. Inupop visits Shirakume's palace whenever he wishes to see her, and she lets him roam free and enjoys his occasional company.

Inupop is depicted in the story as an absent father, who is charismatic but busy pursuing his own objectives, and has not kept up well with his son's life. (Sorry, but I don't worship Inupop just because he is Inupop. I consider him being a bit irresponsible.) Thus, the father and the son have a communication problem, and it is made worse by a certain plan Inupop makes. (which is NOT about the swords nor his polygamy for a change.)
Shirakume understands her son better than Inupop, but Sesshoumaru is wary of his mother. She shrewdly uses her son's affair with his childhood friend and now the Orochi Matriarch, Kureha (my OC for this story) [link] to gain diplomatic advantage...

In any case, Sesshoumaru is pretty much fed up with both of his parents at this point.

I didn't add Meidouseki necklace on Sessmom intentionally. I'm not too crazy about the design of the necklace, and its real purpose is not as an adornment, so I omitted it. (and I let Sessmom express her dissatisfaction with the design in Chapter 7.)
My interest is not to make a replica of the original, but to create my own version with my take on these characters, so the difference you may observe is intentional.
I designed her throne with the crescent moon in mind. Since this is a fantasy genre, I improvised some of the design elements.
